ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The admission procedure for both Summer Seminars consists in five steps:
STEP 1. PRE-REGISTRATION.- Send an e-mail to the Assessment Committee of the program of your preference stating your full name, nationality, current location and contact information (e-mail address and phone numbers):
For Notre Dame 2012 please email: notredame@thephoenixinstitute.org
For Trumau-Vienna 2012 please email: vienna@thephoenixinstitute.org
STEP 2. APPLICATION.- Provide the Assessment Committee with your updated Curriculum Vitae and a Motivation Essay of no less than 500 words addressing the following questions:
- FIRST YEAR STUDENTS
1. Why are you interested in attending the Phoenix Institute?
2. What does the study of Western Thought mean to you personally?
3. What strikes you most in our Mission Statement (available in our websites)?
4. What can be your personal contribution to the Summer Seminar?
- SECOND AND THIRD YEAR STUDENTS
1. Why are you personally interested in participating again in one of the Institute’s Summer Programs?
2. In your opinion, what is so objectively important about the Mission of the Phoenix Institute and its activities?
3. Now that you know the Institute and its activities, what will be your personal contribution to this Summer seminar?
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Enrollment to both Summer Programs is limited. If you are interested in attending one of them, please apply by April 23rd, 2012 at the latest, preferably earlier.
STEP 3. INTERVIEW.- Hold an interview with your National Coordinator (either in person or by phone).
STEP 4. NOTIFICATION.- No later than May 6th, 2012, you will be informed by e-mail whether you have been accepted, rejected or placed on a waiting list.
STEP 5. REGISTRATION.- Once you have been accepted, complete your registration to the program by means of a non-refundable initial payment, and the online completion of the relevant registration requirements.
Additional requirements might apply in your country (e.g. Mexico and Colombia).
